What is the Warsaw Pass?

The Warsaw Pass is the official sightseeing card for Warsaw. With a single pass you visit over 20 of the most important museums and sights of the Polish capital for free – from the spectacular viewing terrace at the Palace of Culture and Science to the award-winning POLIN museum and the interactive Copernicus Science Centre. Instead of paying separately at every ticket desk, you simply show your pass and walk in.

The pass comes in three versions: for 24, 48 or 72 hours. Important: validity is counted in hours from first use, not by calendar days. So if you activate the pass at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, the 24-hour pass is valid until 2 pm on Sunday.

As an extra highlight, a daily Chopin piano concert in Warsaw's Old Town is included – an atmospheric way to round off a day full of sightseeing. On top of that, you get discounts on selected food tours, cooking classes and accommodation. You book the pass conveniently online in advance via GetYourGuide with free cancellation, and then pick it up on-site at the tourist information office.

Is the Warsaw Pass worth it?

Whether the Warsaw Pass is worth it depends above all on how many paid attractions you actually visit. The maths is simple: as long as the total of your individual tickets is higher than the pass price, you save. As a rule of thumb, the pass pays off from about three to four paid attractions – and you save yourself the queuing at several ticket desks along the way.

The highlights in the Warsaw Pass

Warsaw combines the romance of its rebuilt Old Town with a modern museum culture. These are the attractions you shouldn't miss with your Warsaw Pass:

POLIN – Museum of the History of Polish Jews

One of Europe's most important museums on Jewish history, winner of numerous awards. The multimedia permanent exhibition tells a thousand years of history – impressively staged, and 45 PLN without the pass.

Viewing terrace at the Palace of Culture and Science

From the 30th floor of the striking Palace of Culture and Science you get the best panoramic view over Warsaw. It's especially memorable at sunset – and with the pass, no queuing.

Copernicus Science Centre

One of Europe's largest interactive science centres, with over 400 hands-on exhibits. Ideal for families and curious minds of every age – individual price 48 PLN.

Royal Łazienki Museum

The former summer residence of the last Polish king, set in a sprawling park with a palace on the island. A green retreat right in the middle of the city.

Chopin piano concert

Every day at 6:00 pm, a piano concert featuring works by Frédéric Chopin – Warsaw's most famous son – rings out in the Old Town. Included in the Warsaw Pass (individual price 95 PLN).

Picking up and using the pass – here's how

Unlike a pure e-ticket, the Warsaw Pass is issued on-site as a physical card. After booking online with GetYourGuide, you receive a voucher, which you exchange for the Warsaw Pass. The exact address according to GetYourGuide:

It's best to plan the pickup right at the start of your first sightseeing day – the tourist information office is central and easy to reach by public transport. There, along with the pass, you'll also get a map and a leaflet with all participating attractions. The pass is only activated at your first museum visit, so you can pick it up at your leisure and "start" it later. One tip: check the opening hours of your must-see museums beforehand, as some have a fixed closing day each week.

Practical tips for your visit to Warsaw

  • Plan three to four attractions per day – that way you get the most out of the pass without rushing.
  • Start with the big venues like POLIN or Copernicus in the morning, when they're still quieter.
  • A public transport ticket is not included in this pass – buy tickets separately at the machine or via app.
  • The Chopin Museum (its own venue) is closed in 2026 for renovation – but the daily Chopin concert takes place as usual.
  • Book online with free cancellation: that way you stay flexible if your plans change.

Super easy. You swap your voucher at the tourist info, then walk straight into the museums with no queuing. The Chopin concert in the evening was a great way to wrap things up.
M Germany · May 2026
Just right for three days. We visited Copernicus, POLIN and the Łazienki Museum – the pass paid for itself with just those alone.
A Austria · May 2026
Good value for money if you want to see lots of museums. The viewing terrace at the Palace of Culture was a highlight.
G United Kingdom · May 2026
Handy and flexible. Just check the opening hours beforehand and everything runs smoothly.
B Brazil · May 2026
Quick pickup and friendly staff at the tourist info. It saved us a lot of time at the ticket counters.
H Hungary · April 2026
For us it didn't quite pay off – we'd only planned on two museums. If you don't have much on your list, single tickets work out cheaper. Tip: do the math beforehand.
D Germany · May 2026

Before you book – honestly

  • The pass isn't an e-ticket: you pick it up on-site at the tourist information office in the Palace of Culture. Plan for that on your first day.
  • The pass is worth it if you visit several paid museums. For one or two attractions, individual tickets are cheaper – use the calculator above.
  • Opening hours and closing days vary by museum. The Chopin Museum is closed in 2026 for renovation (the daily concert still takes place).
